THE STRANGE ORCHID EP
The STRANGE ORCHID EP is a journey through loss of identity and the search to reclaim it. Written, recorded, and produced in the band’s own studio by the River Tawe in South Wales, the record captures a snapshot of the ever-expanding Strange Orchid sound.
From No One’s blend of 90s indie and 60s pop, to Hope’s indie‑disco pulse infused with the spirit of Bowie’s Let’s Dance, and closing with Are We Lost? — where the mechanical drive of Krautrock collides with the shimmering world of dream‑pop — the EP is both nostalgic and forward‑looking.
This release marks the first step into the world of Strange Orchid.

Based in South Wales, Strange Orchid originated in a DIY home studio deep in the Welsh countryside. Blending rich textures, layered harmonies, and psychedelic atmospheres with a strong melodic core, the music draws from The Flaming Lips, The Arcs, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, and Big Star. Balancing dreamy soundscapes with catchy, left-field pop hooks, Strange Orchid creates immersive music—an analogue world warping within a digital age
